BIOFIXER

Normally in retannage processes we carry out the fixing of our products with formic acid. We know the dangers of this chemical if there is a bad handling by the tanner such as: skin burns, permanent eye damage, irritation to mucous membranes, flammability risk if the ambient temperature exceeds 40 °C, and is highly corrosive.

It is for these reasons that we TAUROQUIMICA are proud to offer BIOFIXER one of our greatest achievements, where we have contributed our bit to reduce some of the risks mentioned above.

Formic acid replacement and supplementing it with the following characteristics:

High solubility in water.
ODOR mild.
Low corrosivity (in relation to mineral acids).
Efficient pH adjustment.
Readily biodegradable (90% in 7 days).
Low toxicity.

Ammonium sulfate and ammonium chloride are products that were usually indispensable to deliming processes by tanners, TAUROQUIMICA Today is proud to innovate showing a new ammonia-free process because we have come to see that can be extremely harmful both to the drainage systems to aquatic ecosystems at the time of disposing of wastewater.

In TAUROQUIMICA help the environment with one of our best achievements, BIODESENCALANTE whose main contributions to the leather industry and, of course, the environment include:

Greatly improves the depletion of chromium in the tanning bath and this allows a lower supply of chromium. This not only provides a lower burden of wastewater, but also hides a softer, fuller and firmer still flowering.

Other advantages of this method of work is the possible reduction in the amount of salt as well as a better depletion of aluminum salts, vegetable and chrome tanning.
